Newsflash... KentSCP - KM Social Care Expo - significantly up on last year!

Kent Social Care Professionals are delighted to announce that the 2008 Social Care Expo was significantly bigger than last year\'s, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors. Look out for video clips on this website very shortly!

We are now arranging interviews for a record number of highly experienced and qualified candidates who were attracted to this major event.  Very soon, we aim to have placed them all in exciting new roles!

This represents a major boost for providers of care services in Kent, who will be able to access, quickly and efficiently, a far wider range of suitable candidates for both permanent positions and for temporary summer holiday cover.

We are also delighted to be playing our role in attracting new entrants into the Social Care professions, by telling students all about the many options, both in talks and in personal advice.  Our Careers Advisors were very busy, offering one-to-one support and suggestions and there were often queues for this service, which boasted twice as many careers advisors this year. 

For the already well-qualified, there were excellent speakers on many subjects, both in our Seminar Room and our training room, including subjects such as forthcoming legislation changes and KCC\'s future service provision.  We thank all the speakers who kindly gave their time to come and give valuable contributions. 

For everyone, the EXPO was a fantastic opportunity to network and catch up with acquaintances and see all the latest developments.  Here\'s looking forward to an even bigger event in 2009!
